The judging for this year’s Australian Marmalade Awards has officially wrapped up! Held at the charming Christ Church Hall in the picturesque village of Birregurra, just two hours west of Melbourne, the event once again brought together marmalade makers and enthusiasts from near and far.

We were delighted to receive entries from across Australia as well as from New Zealand, Taiwan, Japan, China, and Korea — a true celebration of international marmalade craftsmanship.
The standard of entries this year was exceptionally high, and our judges were thoroughly impressed by the creativity, balance, and skill on display.
We were thrilled to welcome back Head Chef Jason White and Restaurant Manager Alex Casey from the world-renowned restaurant Brae, who once again lent their expertise to judge the Alcohol section. Returning CWA Judge Ann-Marie Primmer also shared her incredible knowledge and precision, ensuring every jar was judged with care and consistency.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our wonderful scribes — Polwarth CWA President Jen Brooke and Birregurra local Helen Quick — whose steady hands and sharp eyes kept the judging process running smoothly.
We can’t wait to welcome our marmalade friends to the Awards Ceremony, to be held on Saturday afternoon, 25 October at 3pm, again at Christ Church Hall, Birregurra.
