We're super excited to offer a Citrus Masterclass with world citrus expert Mr Ian Tolley OAM in Birregurra on Friday the 25th of October. We're very privileged to have Ian as our Australian Marmalade Awards Patron again this year, and he has offered to host an informative day on all things citrus!
This is an opportunity not to be missed if you have just one lemon tree or a citrus grove!
Decorated citrus and nursery specialist Ian Tolley is going from strength to strength at 93-years old, after recently being named the Renmark-Paringa Citizen of the Year. Ian has a wealth on knowledge to share. His book 'Commonsense Citrus - A Hands-on Guide to Propagation and Planting' is a valuable addition to any growers library.
Topics will include planting, pruning, feeding, harvesting and 'what's wrong with my tree?'.
The masterclass will be held at the Birregurra Hall from 10am till 4pm.
$75 per person. Includes a light lunch.
Bookings can be made here: www.trybooking.com/CURJB
Pictured in the photo is Head Gardener Jo Lawson at Brae Restaurant in Birregurra. Ian toured the restaurant citrus orchard last year, offering a few tips to the gardnening team. He was most impressed by the variety and condition of the trees.
